Residents begin storm cleanup in Baja California

Baja California Gov. Marina del Pilar Ávila said that more than 500 people arrived at the nearly 100 temporarily shelters opened by the state. Local police and lifeguards stopped an 18-foot boat before it reached the shore Thursday morning; all 14 people on board were detained off the coast near Solana Beach.
